Sylvain Boris Nabil Deslandes (born 25 April 1997) is a professional Association football, footballer who plays as a Defender (association football), defender. Born in Cameroon, he has represented France at under-16 through under-20 level. Career Deslandes moved upon the expiry of his contract with French club Stade Malherbe Caen, Caen to join English side Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C., Wolverhampton Wanderers in July 2015, agreeing a two-year deal (with the option of a third year). He made his club debut on 25 August 2015 in a League Cup win over Barnet F.C., Barnet. On 31 January 2017, he joined Bury F.C., Bury on loan until the end of the season. Maria Carolina Martinez Deslandes (born 27 August 1991), known as Carolina Deslandes, is a Portuguese singer and songwriter. In December 2010, she finished as the third-place finalist on the fourth season of ''Ídolos Portugal''. Flavio Deslandes is a Brazilian industrial designer based in Denmark and known for his work with bamboo including the bamboo bicycles. Career Deslandes started his scientific research with bamboo technology at PUC-Rio University from 1994 to 1999 where he participated in projects about developing tools for working with bamboo – composites, structures, truss-frames, joint and connection solutions, aids and appliances for handicapped such as walkers and amphibian sliders. In 1995 he started to develop his first bamboo bicycle, and the first prototype was presented at the 5th International World Bamboo Congress in 1998. Madeleine Deslandes
Baronne Madeleine Annette Edmé Angélique Vivier-Deslandes (16 April 1866 – 2 March 1929) was a French writer associated with the English Pre-Raphaelites. She was the subject of a painting by Edward Burne-Jones. Deslandes travelled to England in 1893 to meet Burne-Jones in preparation for an article that she was writing about him for ''Le Figaro''. It was arranged that Burne-Jones would paint Deslandes' portrait, which he did in 1895–96. Deslandes wrote under the pseudonym "Ossit". She wrote four novels : ''A quoi bon?'' (1892), ''Ilse'' (1894), ''Il n'y a plus d'îles bienheureuses'' (1898) and ''Cyrène'' (1908). According to Emily Wubben, Deslandes "pursued a glittering social life in Parisian literary and artistic circles. André-François Deslandes
André-François Boureau-Deslandes (21 May 1689 – 11 April 1757) was a French philosopher. Deslandes has been viewed as an important precursor of the ''Encyclopédistes''. He was appointed Commissioner of the Port of Brest in 1716, was a corresponding member from La Rochelle of the Académie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres, and a member of the Prussian Academy of Sciences. Family background Deslandes was born into an important family in Pondichéry. He was the son of André Boureau-Deslandes (born in Tours) and grandson of François Martin (1634–1706), the founder and first governor of Pondichéry. His father André Boureau-Deslandes played a major role in the diplomatic relations between France and Siam, then in India where he became Director General of Commerce in Bengal.
