Desiree Barboza
Desiree Barboza is a Venezuelan politician, currently an alternate deputy of the National Assembly for the Zulia state. Career Barboza has been regional coordinator of the Popular Will party in Zulia state. She was elected as an alternate deputy to the National Assembly for the state for the 2016–2021 term in the 2015 parliamentary elections, representing the Democratic Unity Roundtable (MUD). In 2019, she was included in a list presented by Deputy Delsa Solórzano of deputies, including principal and alternate deputies, who have been victims of "violations of their human rights, as well as threats, intimidation or illegal suspension of their mandate in the current legislative term." After the election of the 2020 National Assembly's Delegate Commission and opposition deputies regained control of the Assembly on 7 January, four deputies were injured, including Barboza. The National Assembly () is the federal legislature of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which was first elected in 2000 under the Constitution of Venezuela, 1999 constitution. It is a unicameral body made up of a variable number of members, who are elected by a "universal, direct, personal, and secret" vote partly by direct election in state-based voting districts, and partly on a state-based party-list proportional representation system. Ana María Campos
Ana María de Campos y Cubillán de Fuentes (; April 2, 1796 – October 17, 1828) was a resistance fighter in the Venezuelan War of Independence. She was given the honor of "heroine", and is known as a "warrior" and a "martyr". Early life Ana María was the daughter of Domingo José de Campos y Perozo de Cervantes, and María Ana Cubillán de Fuentes y Vera. From a young age she was a supporter of the expulsion of the Spanish government. International Women's Day (IWD) is celebrated on 8 March, commemorating women's fight for equality and liberation along with the women's rights movement. Zulia State (, ; Wayuu: ''Mma’ipakat Suuria'') is one of the 23 states of Venezuela. The state capital is Maracaibo. As of the 2011 census, it has a population of 3,704,404, the largest population among Venezuela's states. History and profile ''ABC'' was first published in Madrid on 1 January 1903 by Torcuato Luca de Tena y Álvarez-Ossorio.
