TCG ''Derya'' (A-1590) is a Turkish fast combat support auxiliary ship of type replenishment oiler of the Turkish Naval Forces, commissioned in January 2024. History In 2016, the Defence Industry Agency (SSB) of the Ministry of National Defense launched a project for the building of an auxiliary ship to meet the needs of the Turkish Naval Forces. The vessel is to provide oil, water, provisions, spare parts, medical supplies, ammunition, etc. to multiple ships at the same time during operations in the high seas and transoceanic waters. It was planned that the ship would serve also as a command and control ship in wartime with its effective combat management capacity. A contract was signed between the SSB and Sefine Shipyard on 10 July 2018. For the building of the ship, 58 months were planned. USS Piedmont
USS ''Piedmont'' (AD–17) was a built during World War II for the United States Navy. Her task was to service destroyers in, or near, battle areas and to keep them fit for duty. She served in the Pacific Ocean during World War II, the Cold War, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. For her work in battle areas, the ship was awarded four battle stars for her Korean War efforts and one for Vietnam War service. She was laid down by the Tampa Shipbuilding Company, Inc., in Tampa, Florida, on 1 December 1941; launched 7 December 1942; sponsored by Mrs. Elsa Kauffman; and, commissioned 5 January 1944. Huseyn Muradov (29 June 1975 – 15 March 2014), better known by his stage name Huseyn Derya, was an award-winning Azerbaijani rapper and actor from Baku, Azerbaijan. Early life Darya was born on June 29, 1975, in Baku, in the district of Bakikhanov. He graduated from Baku secondary school No. 4, and was accepted to Baku State University Baku State University (BSU) (BDU; ) is a public university located in Baku, Azerbaijan. Derya Türk-Nachbaur (born 10 April 1973, Paderborn) is a German politician of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) who has been serving as a member of the Bundestag since 2021, representing the Schwarzwald-Baar district.
