Deriugins School
The Deriugina School, also known as the Deriugins' School is a rhythmic gymnastics club in Kyiv, Ukraine. It was run for many years by the mother and daughter team of Albina Deriugina, who was the head coach for many years and died in 2023 at the age of 91, and Irina Deriugina, who acted as the assistant coach and later became the head coach. Irina's daughter, Iryna Blokhina, works in the school as a senior choreographer. Every year since 1992 the club plays host to the biggest rhythmic gymnastics competition in Ukraine, ''The Deriugina Cup'' (Кубок Дерюгіної). The main training centre of the club is the October Palace in Kyiv. Rhythmic Gymnastics
Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport in which gymnasts perform individually or in groups on a floor with an apparatus: hoop (rhythmic gymnastics), hoop, ball (rhythmic gymnastics), ball, Clubs (rhythmic gymnastics), clubs, ribbon (rhythmic gymnastics), ribbon and rope (rhythmic gymnastics), rope. Elena Vitrichenko
Olena Ihorivna Vitrychenko (, ; born 25 November 1976), also known as Elena Vitrichenko, is an Individual Ukrainian Rhythmic Gymnast. She is the 1996 Olympics bronze medalist, the 1997 World All-around champion and 1997 European All-around champion. Career Olena Vitrychenko was introduced to the sport in 1980 when she was four years old by her mother, Nina, herself a former rhythmic gymnast. Her mother coached her at the Deryuguina School in Kiev. Vitrychenko made her international debut in 1986. At the 1992 European Championships in Stuttgart, Germany, she won a bronze medal as a member of the Ukrainian group. Viktoriia Mazur
Viktoria Oleksiivna Mazur (; born 15 October 1994) is a retired Ukrainian rhythmic gymnast who competed in individual and group rhythmic gymnastics. Career Mazur began competing on the international junior level in 2007. At the 2008 European Junior Championships she was a member of the bronze medal-winning Team Ukraine. Mazur debuted as a senior in 2010. She competed at her first World Championships in 2011 in Montpellier, France, where Team Ukraine won the bronze medal. She was a member of the Ukrainian group that competed at the 2012 London Olympics and finished fifth in all-around. In 2013, Mazur was eighth at the Moscow Grand Prix behind Azeri gymnast Marina Durunda. At the Holon Grand Prix senior international division, she won the bronze medal in all-around. Alina Oleksandrivna Maksymenko (, born 10 July 1991) is a retired individual rhythmic gymnast. Career Junior She competed at the 2006 Deriugina cup and won silver medal in All-around, behind Daria Kushnerova. Senior In 2007, she made a debut at the World Championships in Patras, Greece, where she was a part of the Ukrainian senior group ( Olena Dmytrash, Polina Kondaurova, Viera Perederiy, Oksana Petulko, Vita Zubchenko) that finished 8th in Group All-around. In 2008, Maksymenko participated as a member of the Ukrainian Group at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. They finished eighth in the group all-around finals. Maria Petrova (rhythmic Gymnast)
Maria Dimitrova Petrova (; born 13 November 1975) is a Bulgarian former rhythmic gymnast who is now a rhythmic gymnastics judge and official. She is a triple World all-around champion (1993, 1994, 1995) and a triple European all-around champion (1992, 1993, 1994). Career Born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, Petrova began her training at the age of five at local club Trakia Plovdiv Club, coached by Natalia Moravenova. Adriana Dunavska
Adriana Dunavska () (born 21 April 1969) is a Bulgarian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 1988 Olympic All-around silver medallist, 1987 World All-around silver medallist, 1989 World All-around bronze medallist and the 1988 European All-around champion.
