Derik Hultquist
Derik Hultquist is an American singer/songwriter from Alcoa, TN. He is currently a staff writer for Carnival Music in Nashville, TN. Derik has also released three Extended play, EP's with Carnival Recording Company; ''Whether Report'' (2012), ''Leaning On The Rain'' (2012), ''Mockingbird's Mouth'' (2014). Biography Growing up an orphan in Alcoa, TN Hultquist split his time between sport, athletics and music. Derik went on to attend Kentucky Wesleyan College where he played Goalkeeper (association football), goalie for the men's soccer team. However, after an injury sidelined him, he began to focus all of his energy on songwriting. Upon graduation, on a whim, he migrated to Nashville. Alcoa, TN
Alcoa is a city in Blount County, Tennessee, United States. Its population was 10,978 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. It is part of the Knoxville, TN Metropolitan Statistical Area. As its name suggests, Alcoa was the site of a large aluminum smelting plant owned and operated by the Alcoa corporation (Aluminum Company of America). Formerly known as North Maryville, the town was incorporated under its present name in 1919. Eli Young Band
Eli Young Band is an American country music band from Denton, Texas. The band consists of Mike Eli (lead vocals, guitar), James Young (guitar), Jon Jones (bass guitar), and Chris Thompson (drums). They released their self-titled debut album in 2002, followed by the Carnival Records release ''Level'' in 2005. Their third album, ''Jet Black & Jealous'', was released in 2008 by Universal South Records.
