Deputy Marshal Of The Senate
Deputy Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland () is one of the Polish Senators in the upper house of the Polish parliament who serves as the deputy of the Senate Marshal (speaker). There could be a maximum of four Deputy Marshals. Deputy Marshals are allowed to preside over the Senate sessions when the Marshal does not preside. They are elected among the Senators for a full Senate term, alongside the Marshal. Sejm And Senate Complex Of Poland
Sejm and Senate Complex () are a complex of buildings located in central Warsaw, which house the bicameral Polish parliament – the Sejm and Senate of Poland. The construction of the complex began after Poland regained its independence in 1918. The expansion of the complex continues to the modern-day, with a new building under construction since 2014. All of the buildings part of the complex are managed by the Chancellery of Sejm. Buildings Main Sejm building Sejm Meeting Hall The Meeting Hall was constructed between May 1925 and March 1928, designed by Kazimierz Skórewicz. Except for the Belgian marble used to cover the inner walls, all other construction materials originate from Poland. The oak armchairs, tables and the balustrade were made according to the drawings of architect Stefan Sienicki, and the bas-reliefs on the balustrade separating the bureau from the amphitheater were designed by Aleksander Żurakowski. Democratic Left Alliance (Poland)
The Democratic Left Alliance () was a social democracy, social-democratic list of political parties in Poland, political party in Poland. It was formed on 9 July 1991 as an electoral alliance of centre-left politics, centre-left parties, and became a single party on 15 April 1999. It was the major coalition party in Poland between 1993 and 1997, and between 2001 and 2005, with four Prime ministers coming from the party: Józef Oleksy, Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz, Leszek Miller and Marek Belka. Kazimierz Julian Kutz (16 February 1929 – 18 December 2018) was a Polish film director, author, journalist and politician, one of the representatives of the Polish Film School and a deputy speaker of the Senate of Poland. Biography Kazimierz Kutz was born on 16 February 1929 in Szopienice, since 1960 district of Katowice, to a railway worker and a former partisan of the Silesian Uprisings. After the World War II Kutz graduated from gymnasium in Mysłowice and in 1949 was admitted to the Łódź Film School. After finishing his studies in 1954 he started working as an assistant to Andrzej Wajda. His film debut was ''Krzyż Walecznych'' (1959). Solidarity Electoral Action (, AWS) was a coalition of political parties in Poland, active from 1996 to 2001.
