Denza N8L
The Denza N8L () is an upcoming plug-in hybrid full-size SUV to be produced and sold by Denza, a premium marque of BYD Auto. It is based on BYD's e3 platform. Despite using the Denza N8 name it is unrelated to the Denza N8, already discontinued model. Overview The Denza N8L is a 5-door SUV that uses a similar design to the Denza N9. Just like the N9 it uses the e3 platform developed by BYD. It is positioned as a flagship car for the company. Design The N8L uses design features shared with the rest or the lineup, such as parallel front end daytime running lights and hourglass-inspired taillights. Also present is a trapezoidal air intake and active grille shutters unlike the N9. Flush door handles also make an appearance. Shenzhen Denza New Energy Co., Ltd., trading as Denza (), is an automobile manufacturing company and luxury plug-in electric vehicle brand owned by BYD Auto. Two other BYD subsidiary brands, Yangwang and Fangchengbao, are also rebadged and sold internationally under the Denza name. The Denza N8 () and the preceding Denza X are plug-in hybrid and battery electric mid-size crossover SUVs. The original Denza X was first launched in Guangzhou Auto Show 2019 by Denza, originally a joint venture between Chinese automaker BYD Auto and German luxury car brand Mercedes-Benz. The Denza X was sold from 2019 to 2021 as a restyled second generation BYD Tang and after Mercedes-Benz withdrew from the joint venture, the Denza X was replaced by the Denza N8 as a major facelift.
