Denny Herzig
Denny Herzig (born 13 November 1984) is a German former professional footballer who played as a centre-back. Career Having played as a youth for SV Sparneck, FC Bayern Hof and Carl Zeiss Jena, Herzig moved to England aged 16, joining Wimbledon along with his older brother Nico. After a year in the Dons' youth system, he moved north, signing for Blackpool, but he was unable to break into the first team, and in 2004 he returned to Germany, reuniting with his brother at SV Wacker Burghausen. Burghausen were in the 2. Bundesliga, and Herzig made his professional debut in October 2004, replacing Macchambes Younga-Mouhani in a 2–0 victory over SpVgg Unterhaching. This was his only appearance of the season, and after two more appearances the following year, he was released in June 2006. Pößneck
Pößneck (also spelled ''Poessneck'') is a town in the Saale-Orla-Kreis district, in Thuringia, Germany. It is situated 19 km east of Rudolstadt, and 26 km south of Jena. History Pößneck, which is of Slavonic origin, passed about 1300 to the Landgrave of Thuringia. Later it belonged to Saxony and later still to the duchy of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld, passing to Saxe-Meiningen in 1826. A Gothic church built about 1390 now serves an Evangelical congregation. Pößneck also contains a Gothic town-hall erected during the succeeding century. Balloon escape Pößneck was the home of the Strelzyk and Wetzel families prior to 15 September 1979, when both families flew out of East Germany in a homemade hot air balloon. The DFB-Pokal ( is a German knockout football cup competition held annually by the German Football Association (DFB). Sixty-four teams participate in the competition, including all clubs from the Bundesliga and the 2. Bundesliga. It is considered the second-most important club title in German football after the Bundesliga championship. Taking place from August until May, the winner qualifies for the DFL-Supercup and the UEFA Europa League unless the winner already qualifies for the UEFA Champions League in the Bundesliga. Rot-Weiss Essen is a German association football club based in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia. The club currently plays in the 3. Liga, at the Stadion an der Hafenstraße. The Regionalliga Süd ( en, Regional League South) was the fourth tier of the German football league system from 2008 to 2012. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008, it was the third tier. Macchambes "Mac" Younga-Mouhani (born 1 August 1974) is a Congolese former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. Career Early career Younga in the former People's Republic of the Congo, where he started playing football in the streets. He later became a player for Diables Noirs and made his debut as a Congolese international against Chad at the age of 17.
