Dennis Itumbi
Dennis Itumbi is a Kenyan political strategy consultant and digital journalist. He is also an Election Consultant, known for his role in the campaign of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto in the 2013 Kenyan general election and 2017 Kenyan general election in Kenya. Itumbi runs a company dealing with online reputational management, digital PR and search engine optimization. Itumbi acted as a digital strategist for William Ruto during the 2022 Kenyan general election. In February 2022, an investigation into the Israeli hacking and disinformation operation Team Jorge showed that Itumbi had been the target of hacking ahead of the election. Team Jorge
Team Jorge is the name given to an outfit of Israeli contractors specialized in the use of malign cyber activities including hacking, sabotage and bot farm-run social media disinformation campaigns to manipulate the outcomes of elections. One of the organization's primary tools is a software package called Advanced Impact Media Solutions, or Aims. The group was exposed in February 2023 after an award-winning undercover operation by journalists from Israel and France as part of consortium of investigative journalists coordinated by Forbidden Stories. Tal Hanan ( he, טל חנן; born in 1973), also known by his code name Jorge, is an Israeli businessman and former special forces operator who has been involved in disinformation campaigns in order to manipulate elections in several countries. Hanan's organisation Team Jorge has, for instance, attempted to influence the 2015 Nigerian general election in collaboration with Cambridge Analytica.
