Dennis Homan
Dennis Frank Homan (born January 9, 1946) is an American former professional football player who was a wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL) for five seasons for the Dallas Cowboys (1968–1970) and the Kansas City Chiefs (1971–1972). He later played for the Birmingham Americans (1974) and Birmingham Vulcans (1975) of the World Football League (WFL) He is most proud of his children and grandchildren. Early years Homan attended Muscle Shoals High School where he practiced football, basketball and baseball. In 2005, the Muscle Shoals City School System honored Homan by naming the field of James F. Moore Stadium, Dennis Homan Field. Homan played on the school's first football team and is the first Muscle Shoals High School player to be drafted into the NFL. He also was inducted into the Colbert County Sports Hall of Fame. A wide receiver (WR), also referred to as a wideout, and historically known as a split end (SE) or flanker (FL), is an eligible receiver in gridiron football. Ray Perkins
Walter Ray Perkins (November 6, 1941 – December 9, 2020) was an American football coach and player. He played as a wide receiver for the University of Alabama and Baltimore Colts. He later worked as a football coach for 28 years, including stints as the head coach for the New York Giants, the University of Alabama, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Arkansas State University. Early life and college career Perkins was born in Mt. Olive, Mississippi, on November 6, 1941, and moved to Petal, Mississippi, near Hattiesburg, when he was three. He was known for his extraordinary work ethic as a youth in Petal, and was an all-America running back at Petal High School. A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football. World Football League
The World Football League (WFL) was an American football league that played one full season in 1974 in sports, 1974 and most of its second in 1975 in sports, 1975.
