The Paralympic Games or Paralympics, also known as the ''Games of the Paralympiad'', is a periodic series of international multisport events involving athletes with a range of physical disabilities, including impaired muscle power and impaired passive range of movement, limb deficiency, leg length difference, short stature, hypertonia, ataxia, athetosis, vision impairment and intellectual impairment. Henrik Jorgensen (boccia)
Henrik Jorgensen is a Danish Paralympic athlete and boccia player who has competed in five Paralympic Games. Career Henrik made his Paralympic debut in 1984, competing in athletics and boccia. In New York/Stoke Mandeville 1984 he won three gold medals, the men's slalom and precision throw and individual boccia C1. In 1984, boccia was making its Paralympics debut, so he became one of its first champions. In the boccia, he beat Russell Cecchini of Canada in the final. Starting from Seoul 1988 he moved into boccia permanently and became a master player, winning three silver and two bronze medals in the sport. Denmark made its Paralympic Games début at the 1968 Summer Paralympics in Tel Aviv with a delegation of eight competitors, in swimming and table tennis. The country has participated in every subsequent edition of the Summer Paralympics, and in every edition of the Winter Games since 1980. Danish athletes have won a total of 293 Paralympic medals, of which 99 are gold. All but six of these have been won at the Summer Games. Denmark won its first medals in 1976, when Jorn Nielsen notably took three gold medals in track and field. The country was most successful in the 1980s, when it recorded its greatest medal hauls at the Summer Games, and in the 1990s - the only decade during which it won medals at the Winter Paralympics. Ivan Nielsen (born 9 October 1956) is a Danish former professional football player, who most prominently played professionally for Dutch clubs Feyenoord Rotterdam and PSV Eindhoven, winning the European Cup with PSV. A central defender, he was capped 51 times for the Danish national team, and represented his country at 1986 World Cup and two European Championship tournaments. Biography Born on Frederiksberg in Copenhagen, Ivan Nielsen started his senior career with Fremad Amager in 1975. He debuted for the Danish under-21 national team in September 1977, and went on to play six games and score one goal for the under-21 national team. In 1979, he moved abroad to play professionally with Feyenoord Rotterdam in the Dutch Eredivisie championship. Kasper Rubin Sand Hansen (born 30 December 1986) is a Danish cricketer. He made his debut for the Danish national side in 2011, and played Twenty20 games for the team at the 2013 World Twenty20 Qualifier. Much of his cricket has been played alongside his twin brother, Jakob Rubin. Both brothers use the name Rubin as their second name, in preference to their surname, Hansen. Kazimierz (; la, Casimiria; yi, קוזמיר, Kuzimyr) is a historical district of Kraków and Kraków Old Town, Poland. From its inception in the 14th century to the early 19th century, Kazimierz was an independent city, a royal city of the Crown of the Polish Kingdom, located south of the Old Town of Kraków, separated from it by a branch of the Vistula river.
