Deniss Vasiļjevs
Deniss Vasiļjevs (born 9 August 1999) is a Latvian figure skater. He is the 2022 European Figure Skating Championships, 2022 European bronze medalist, the 2022 MK John Wilson Trophy silver medalist, a four-time ISU Challenger Series medalist (including gold at the 2020 CS Nebelhorn Trophy, 2020 Nebelhorn Trophy), and a seven-time Latvian Figure Skating Championships, Latvian national champion (2016–18, 2020, 2022–24). Earlier in his career, Vasiļjevs became the Figure skating at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics, 2016 Youth Olympics silver medalist and won two silver medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix (JGP) series. He is the first Latvian skater to make the podium at a JGP event and at an ISU Figure Skating Championships, ISU Championships event. 2025 World Figure Skating Championships
The 2025 World Figure Skating Championships were held from March 26–30, 2025, at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States. Sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU), the World Championships are considered the most prestigious event in figure skating, second only to the Figure skating at the Olympic Games, Olympics. Medals were awarded in Single skating, men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The competition determined the entry quotas for each skating federation at the 2026 World Figure Skating Championships, 2026 World Championships and the Figure skating at the 2026 Winter Olympics – Qualification, 2026 Winter Olympics. 2014–15 Figure Skating Season
The 2014–15 figure skating season began on July 1, 2014, and ended on June 30, 2015. During this season, elite skaters competed at the 2015 European Championships, Four Continents Championships, World Junior Championships, and World Championships. They also competed at elite events such as the Grand Prix series and Junior Grand Prix series, culminating at the Grand Prix Final, and the inaugural Challenger Series. Beginning with this season, singles and pairs skaters were allowed to use music with lyrics in competition. Previously, they were restricted to instrumental music, including vocals without words. is a retired Japanese figure skater ( men's singles and ice dance) and ice show producer. As a singles skater, he is the 2010 Olympic bronze medalist, the 2010 World champion, the 2012–13 Grand Prix Final champion, a two-time (2008, 2011) Four Continents champion, and a five-time (2006–2008, 2010, 2012) Japanese national champion.
