Denis Chevrier
Denis Chevrier (born 8 June 1954) is a retired Formula One engineer who was the head of engine operations for the Renault F1 team from 2002 to 2007. Career Chevrier graduated with a degree in mechanical design and production. After joining the national engineering school in Metz, the Frenchman began his career as a motorcycle technician in classes up to 125 cm³ and 250 cm³. As a motorsport enthusiast, however, he always remained open to other disciplines. At Renault-Sport he worked from 1984 as a racing engineer for the Tyrrell Formula 1 team. Chevrier experimented with the possible uses of racing engines. After a year-long excursion into Renault's World Rally Championship project, he concentrated again on Formula 1. Renault, a French automobile manufacturer, has been associated with Formula One as both team owner and engine manufacturer for various periods since 1977. Tyrrell Racing
The Tyrrell Racing Organisation was an auto racing team and Formula One constructor founded by Ken Tyrrell (1924–2001) which started racing in 1958 and started building its own cars in 1970. The team experienced its greatest success in the early 1970s, when it won three Drivers' Championships and one Constructors' Championship with Jackie Stewart. The team never reached such heights again, although it continued to win races through the 1970s and into the early 1980s, taking the final win for the Ford Cosworth DFV engine at the 1983 Detroit Grand Prix. The team was bought by British American Tobacco in 1997 and completed its final season as Tyrrell in the 1998 Formula One season. Williams Racing, legally known as Williams Grand Prix Engineering Limited and competing as Atlassian Williams Racing, is a British Formula One team and constructor. It was founded by Frank Williams (Formula One), Frank Williams (1942–2021) and Patrick Head. Supertec
Supertec was a brand of Formula One engines supplied by Dutch company Super Performance Competition Engineering BV, managed by Flavio Briatore and Bruno Michel. Supertec engines were updated 1997 Renault RS9 units, built by Mecachrome. In May 1998 Super Performance Competition Engineering signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Mecachrome to begin in the 1999 season. The engines were purchased and rebadged as Supertec. Rémi Taffin (born 14 March 1975) is a French engineer who is the technical director of French firm Oreca. He was previously the engine technical director for the French Formula 1 team Alpine F1 and Renault Sport. He graduated in mechanical engineering from the École supérieure des techniques aéronautiques et de construction automobile (ESTACA). Taffin began his career in motorsport when he became a racing engineer in 1998 in the Signature stable in Formula 3.
