Deng Zhiwei
Deng Zhiwei (, born February 1, 1988) is a Chinese heavyweight freestyle wrestler who won a silver medal at the 2018 World Wrestling Championships and a bronze medal at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships. Career Deng competed at the 2016 Olympics, and was eliminated in the round of 16 by Levan Berianidze. Deng returned to the 2020 Olympics, where he achieved greater success. He came 5th place after losing the Bronze Medal match to Amir Hossein Zare (who would later win the 2021 World Wrestling Championships just two months later). Nikola Petroff
Nikola Petrov ( bg, Никола Петров), better known as Nikola Petroff, (19 December 1873 – 2 January 1925) was a Bulgarian wrestler. He was born in the town of Gorna Oryahovitsa, Bulgaria. On 20 July 1898, in New York City, he earned the title "Champion of America". In the next year in Vienna, he became the European Champion in Greco-Roman wrestling. In 1900, during the Exposition Universelle (1889), Exposition Universelle in Paris, he defeated the Frenchman Paul Pons and became a world champion. He fought in the First Balkan War. In 1921, he established his own private school of wrestling in Sofia. He died in 1925 and was buried in his home town of Gorna Oryahovitsa. Since 1963, a yearly tournament in the name of Nikola Petrov has been organized in Bulgaria. In 1998, he was proclaimed an Honoured Citizen of Gorna Oryahovitsa. 2022 World Wrestling Championships
The 2022 World Wrestling Championships was the 17th edition of the World Wrestling Championships of combined events and was held between 10 and 18 September 2022 in Belgrade, Serbia. The UWW Bureau approved the candidature of Belgrade, Serbia as the host of the 2023 Senior World Championships. However, due to the restrictions on Russia for hosting World Championships in 2021–2022, Belgrade replaced the former city of Krasnoyarsk as the World Championships host for 2022. For 2023 the World Championships host will be reallocated to Russia. In addition, Russian and Belarusian athletes have been banned from 2022 World Championships. Amir Hossein Zare ( fa, امیر حسین زارع; born 16 January 2001) is an Iranian freestyle wrestler who currently competes in the heavyweight division. Zare became World Champion in 2021, and was the 2019 U23 World Champion at age 18. He claimed a Tokyo Olympic Games bronze medal in 2021. Levan Berianidze ( ka, ლევან ბერიანიძე; born 10 October 1990 in Tbilisi) is a Georgian- Armenian male freestyle wrestler.
