Deng Adel
Deng Adel (born 1 February 1997) is a South Sudanese-Australian professional basketball player for BC Balkan Botevgrad of the Bulgarian National Basketball League. He played college basketball for the Louisville Cardinals. Early life Adel was born in Juba under what is now South Sudan. As a youth, he, his mother and five siblings fled war-torn Sudan and moved to Uganda to set up a move to Australia when Deng was 8 years of age. He settled in Melbourne in 2004 and lived in the suburbs of Fitzroy and Sunshine. Basketball only came into Adel's life when his friends introduced him to it as a 14-year-old. From there, he began playing locally for the Sunshine Longhorns, and in 2012, he joined the Waverley Falcons' Big V team. Growing up, Adel also played soccer and ran track. Louisville Cardinals Men's Basketball
The Louisville Cardinals men's basketball team is the men's college basketball program representing the University of Louisville (U of L) in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) of NCAA Division I. 2021–22 NBA G League Season
The 2021–22 NBA G League season is the 21st season of the NBA G League, the official minor league basketball organization owned by the National Basketball Association (NBA). The prior season, the league played a shortened season with 18 teams and all games were held at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Bay Lake, Florida, in similar to the 2020 NBA Bubble due to the ongoing restrictions during the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2021–22 season consists of the Showcase Cup from November 5 to December 22 with all 30 teams participating. Following the showcase, 28 of the league's teams began a traditional regular season from January 5 to April 2 followed by playoffs. Waverley Falcons is a member club of the NBL1 South based in Melbourne, Victoria. The club fields both a men's and women's team. The club is a division of Waverley Basketball Association (WBA), the major administrative basketball organisation in the region. The Falcons play their home games at Waverley Basketball Centre.
