Deng Acuoth
Deng Acuoth (born 2 October 1996) is an Australian-South Sudanese professional basketball player for the SG Apes of The League. Professional career Acuoth made his professional debut with the Sydney Kings of the National Basketball League (NBL) during the 2017–18 season. After a season in the SEABL with the Melbourne Tigers, he had another season with the Kings in 2018–19. In 2019, Acuoth played for the Ballarat Miners in the NBL1 and won the Defensive Player of the Year Award. He then played for the South East Melbourne Phoenix during the 2019–20 NBL season. Acuoth was set to play for the Ballarat Miners in 2020, before Covid saw the cancelled of the season. He returned to Ballarat in 2021. For the 2021–22 season, Acuoth moved to Georgia to play for Mega Tbilisi of the Superliga. He later joined the Knox Raiders of the NBL1 South for the 2022 season. The Shenzhen New Century Liebao Club, also known as Shenzhen Marco Polo or Shenzhen Leopards (previously Shenzhen Aviators), are a Chinese professional basketball team which plays in the Southern Division of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) and The Asian Tournament. The Basketball Africa League (BAL) is the premier men's basketball league in Africa. Founded in 2019, the league was established and is co-organized by NBA Africa and the FIBA, International Basketball Federation (FIBA). Each season typically runs from March to June, and in the current format of the league consists of twelve teams. Each of the teams qualify through their performance in their domestic competition. The 2022–23 NBL season was the 45th season of the National Basketball League since its establishment in 1979. A total of ten teams contested in the 2022–23 season. The Georgian Basketball Super League ( ka, საკალათბურთო სუპერლიგა, Sakalatburto Superliga), also known as the Georgian Top League, is the highest professional basketball league in Georgia. The first season was played in 1991, and was won by Dinamo Tbilisi. The 1990s were dominated by BC Vita Tbilisi, who won the title a record 7 times. The 2018–19 NBL season was the 41st season of the National Basketball League since its establishment in 1979. A total of eight teams have contested the league.
