Ian Dempsey (born 16 January 1961) is an Irish presenter of television and breakfast radio. He is the long-running presenter of the breakfast show on Today FM, self-titled '' The Ian Dempsey Breakfast Show'', which runs from 6-9 am each weekday. The Beechcraft Model 99 is a civilian aircraft produced by Beechcraft. It is also known as the Beech 99 Airliner and the Commuter 99. The 99 is a twin-engine, unpressurized, 15 to 17 passenger seat turboprop aircraft, derived from the earlier Beechcraft King Air and Queen Air. It uses the wings of the Queen Air, the engines and nacelles of the King Air, and sub-systems from both, with a specifically designed nose structure. Design and development Designed in the 1960s as a replacement for the Beechcraft Model 18, it first flew in July 1966. It received type certification on May 2, 1968, and 62 aircraft were delivered by the end of the year. Girvan Dempsey (born 2 October 1975 in Dublin) is an Irish former rugby union footballer who played at full back for Leinster and Ireland. Rugby career Educated at Terenure College and the National University of Ireland, Dempsey won his first full cap as a replacement against Georgia in November 1998 and scored two tries. He became a first choice player in 2000 and played in all five of Ireland's matches at the 2003 World Cup. He reached a milestone when winning his 50th cap in the 2004 summer tour's second Test against South Africa, and is currently the joint-fourth most-capped Irish player in history, with nine of his appearances as a winger between 1998 and 2005.
