Although the intent is that the academic programs and awarded degrees are monitored there is no evidence of this objective being achieved. Abdera () is a municipality in the Xanthi regional unit of Thrace, Greece. In classical antiquity, it was a major Greek ''polis'' on the Thracian coast.
