Sir Demis Hassabis (born 27 July 1976) is a British artificial intelligence (AI) researcher, and entrepreneur. He is the chief executive officer and co-founder of Google DeepMind, and Isomorphic Labs, and a UK Government AI Adviser. In 2024, Hassabis and John M. Jumper were jointly awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for their AI research contributions for protein structure prediction. Hassabis is a Fellow of the Royal Society, and has won many prestigious awards for his research work including the Breakthrough Prize, the Canada Gairdner International Award, and the Lasker Award. In 2017 he was appointed a CBE and listed in the Time 100 most influential people list. Themistoklis "Demis" Nikolaidis (; born 17 September 1973) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a striker. He was the forty second president of AEK Athens, and is considered one of the greatest forwards Greece has produced. In his early childhood and teenage years he lived in the city of Alexandroupoli, in the northeast part of Greece. Demis Armen Ohandjanian (born 1 May 1978) is an English former professional footballer who played as a striker in the English Football League for Doncaster Rovers. Career Ohandjanian joined Middlewich Athletic in time for the start of the 1996–97 season. He had a brief spell with Curzon Ashton before joining Doncaster Rovers in January 1997. He made just one league appearance for Rovers, playing as a substitute in their 2–0 defeat away to Northampton Town.
