Demiivka
Demiivka ( uk, Деміївка) is a neighborhood located in the Holosiiv Raion (district) of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. It is located towards the southern part of the city, in between the city's neighborhoods Chorna Hora, Shyrma, and Holosiiv National Park. Through the neighborhood flows Lybid River and the unofficial name of the neighborhood ''Nyzhnia Lybid'' (Lower Lybid). At its eastern edge is located a ridgeline of Kyiv Hills consisting of Lysa Hora, Chorna Hora, and Bahrynova Hora, past which is located Dnipro. Until the 19th century the area was outside of the Kyiv city and was known as Lybidska zemlya (land of Lybid) which had couple of small villages (sloboda) Verkhnyolybidske and Nyzhnyolybidske. The current name the place assumed sometime in the second half of the 19th century as Demiivka of Khotiv volost. Holosiivskyi District ( uk, Голосіївський район, translit.: ''Holosiivs’kyi raion'') is an urban district of the city of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. Holosiivskyi District was created during changing of administrative divisions of the capital of Ukraine, which was conducted in September 2001, as per the decision of the Kyiv City Council on January 1, 2001. Holosiiv National Park
The Holosiiv National Nature Park ( uk, Національний природний парк «Голосі́ївський», Natsionalnyi pryrodnyi park "Holosiivskyi") is a protected remnant of forest surrounded by the urban area of the city of Kyiv, Ukraine. It is located on the Kyiv hills, in the Dniester-Dnieper forest-steppe province, North-Dnieper lowland and steppe zone of Left-Bank Dnieper province, in Holosiivskyi District. Its total area is 4525.52 hectares, of which 1879.43 hectares are in permanent use. It is managed by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine. Kyiv Central Bus Station ( uk, Київський Центральний Автовокзал) is the main and the largest bus station in Kyiv, Ukraine. It specializes in international and intercity (coach) services; suburban routes also present. The Central Bus Station is located on Demiivska Square in the Holosiiv neighborhood not far from the city center. Subdivisions Of Kyiv
Subdivisions of Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, include the formal administrative subdivision into urban districts (raions) and the more detailed informal subdivision into historical neighborhoods. Kyiv is divided in two halves split by Dnieper, therefore there exist two important parts "left-bank Kyiv" and "right-bank Kyiv" in reference to the Dnieper. European Route E40
European route E40 is the longest European route, more than long, connecting Calais in France via Belgium, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan, with Ridder in Kazakhstan near the border with Russia and China. A different route connecting Calais and Ridder is about shorter, mostly using the E30 via Berlin-Moscow-Omsk. Pivdennyi Bridge (Kyiv)
The Pivdennyi Bridge ( uk, Південний міст - Southern bridge) in Kyiv, Ukraine was designed by the architect A. Gavrilov ("Mostobud") and a group of engineers headed by G. Fux, was built in 1990. Overview It is the second metro bridge in Kyiv, serving both the Syretsko-Pecherska metro line and road traffic. The cables holding the spans on the bridge are supported by a ferroconcrete double-column pylon in height. The bridge currently has three traffic lanes in both directions (total of six). It connects the Smaller Ring Road around the center of Kyiv. The bridge is part of the / and is formally an extension of the local Promyslova Street. About 1.5 miles north from it is building a new bridge. In 2010 a railway traffic portion of that bridge was finished, while the automobile traffic was scheduled to be established sometime in 2011.
