Dely Atay-Atayan
Adelaida Fernando-Villegas (born Adelaida Marquez Fernando; March 17, 1914 – August 30, 2004), better known as Dely Atay-Atayan or Adelaida Fernando, was a Filipina comedian and singer. Her career in entertainment spanned seven decades, beginning in bodabil and ending in television. Biography Atay-Atayan was born in Tondo, Manila, to painter Amado Fernando and singer Carmen Marquez. One of her younger brothers, Ading Fernando, would grow up to be a prominent television comedian and director. Tondo, Manila
Tondo is a district located in Manila, Philippines. It is the largest, in terms of area and population, of Manila's sixteen districts, with a census-estimated 654,220 people in 2020. It consists of two congressional districts. It is also the second most densely populated district in the city. Etymology The name Tondo can be derived from its Old Tagalog name, Tundun as inscribed in the Laguna Copperplate Inscription of 900 AD, the earliest native document found within the Philippines. Dutch anthropologist Antoon Postma, the first to translate the copperplate, believes the term ''tundun'' originated from Sanskrit, which was used alongside History of the Malay language, Malay as a language of politics and religion in the area at the time. Marvic Valentin "Vic" Castelo Sotto (born April 28, 1954), popularly known as Bossing, is a Filipino actor, comedian, and television personality. Prolific in film and television in the Philippines since the 1970s, he is known for playing comedic roles in television sitcoms and films. He is also one of the three pioneer hosts of ''Eat Bulaga!'' together with his elder brother Tito Sotto and Joey De Leon.
