Delta Work is the stage name of Gabriel A. Villarreal, a Mexican-American drag performer and stylist, best known for competing on the third season of the reality competition television series ''RuPaul's Drag Race''. Villarreal received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Hairstyling for a Multi-Camera Series or Special at the 70th Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards (2018) for his work as a personal hairstylist for ''Drag Race''. She currently co-hosts the podcast ''Very That'', alongside Raja. Career Villarreal's drag mother is Miss Coco Peru; they met in Los Angeles, early in Delta Work's drag career. He started drag on Halloween at age 22. Her drag name originates from when she attended a drag show and the performing group of queens, who were making a spoof of Designing Women, needed a "bigger woman" to play the role of Delta Burke's character Suzanne Sugarbaker. A drag queen is a person, usually male, who uses drag clothing and makeup to imitate and often exaggerate female gender signifiers and gender roles for entertainment purposes. Historically, drag queens have usually been gay men, and part of gay culture. People partake in the activity of ''doing drag'' for reasons ranging from self-expression to mainstream performance. Sutan Ibrahim Karim Amrullah ; (born June 14, 1974), often shortened to Sutan Amrull, is an American drag performer and make-up artist who also uses the stage name Raja Gemini or simply Raja.
