Delaware (album)
''Delaware'' is the debut studio album by American indie rock band Drop Nineteens. It was released on June 19, 1992 by Caroline Records. Hut Records issued the album, along with the single "Winona", in the United Kingdom the same year. On April 20, 2009, ''Delaware'' was reissued by Cherry Red Records with four bonus tracks from the band's 1992 EP ''Your Aquarium''. Drop Nineteens
Drop Nineteens is an American, Boston-based shoegaze band active from 1991 to 1995. They were one of the few U.S.-based bands who styled themselves on England's distinctive shoegaze sound, taking their inspiration from bands such as My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Th' Faith Healers, and Bleach. The band received its name from a childhood memory of Greg Ackell who would drop things off the terrace of his apartment, where he lived on the 19th floor. Angel (Madonna Song)
"Angel" is a song by American singer Madonna from her second studio album '' Like a Virgin'' (1984). It was released on April 10, 1985 by Sire Records as the album's third single. Written by Madonna and Steve Bray, it was one of the first songs developed for the project and, according to Madonna, was inspired by a girl who is saved by an angel, and she falls in love with him. "Angel" was released as a 12-inch single with "Into the Groove" in some countries and charted likewise. Despite its relative success, "Angel" was one of the few Madonna singles from that time that did not have an official music video, because although it was planned, it was canceled due to the artist's busy schedule. Instead, a promotional clip comprising segments of her previous videos was released in the United Kingdom. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. Richard Kerr (songwriter)
Richard Buchanan Kerr (born 14 December 1944) is an English singer-songwriter and composer, who co-wrote "Mandy", "Looks Like We Made It" and " Somewhere in the Night" (all of which became hit singles for Barry Manilow) and "I'll Never Love This Way Again", for Dionne Warwick. Career Kerr began his education at Bedford School. After gaining an interest in music at school he went into songwriting. In the UK, he collaborated with musicians in the late 1960s and early 1970s such as Peter Green, Don Partridge and Scott English. The latter pairing resulted in the song "Brandy", which English released in 1971. This song later become a worldwide hit under the title "Mandy" for Barry Manilow in 1974, although Don Partridge's "Blue Eyes" was Kerr's first hit as a songwriter. Sheldon David "Scott" English (January 10, 1937 – November 16, 2018) was an American songwriter, arranger and record producer. He is best known as the co-writer of " Brandy" which he wrote with Richard Kerr. This song became a No. 1 hit for Barry Manilow in 1974, with the title changed to " Mandy".
