Delara (singer)
Amanda Delara Nikman (; born 1997), known by her stage name Delara (formerly Amanda Delara), is a Norwegian and Iranian singer. Starting her career in 2016 with debut single, "Paper Paper", she has released four EPs and one studio album, ''Shahrazad'' (2023). In 2024, her song "", from the film ''The Snow Sister'', reached List of number-one singles of the 2020s (Norway), number-one in Norway. Early life Delara Nikman was born in Sweden in 1997 to Swedish Iranians, Iranian parents. Her mother grew up in Iran during the Iran–Iraq War, war with Iraq and was raised by a single mother. Delara moved to Norway at the age of one, spending fourteen years in Lillehammer, and subsequently in Neskollen from the age of fifteen. Her original plan was to become a doctor. At the age of six, she heard "Numb/Encore" by Jay-Z and Linkin Park, which had a lasting impact on her; she describes it as the first time she felt a love for music. ''Skam'' (stylized as ''SKAM''; ; English: ''Shame'') is a Norwegian teen drama streaming television series about the daily life of teenagers at the Hartvig Nissen School, a Gymnasium (school), gymnasium in the wealthy borough of Frogner in West End Oslo, West End Oslo and Norway's oldest high school for girls. Karpe (previously known as Karpe Diem between 2000 and 2018) is a Norwegian rap group from Oslo, consisting of Magdi Omar Ytreeide Abdelmaguid (b. 1984) and Chirag Rashmikant Patel (b. 1984). Biography Magdi Omar Ytreeide Abdelmaguid, of mixed Egyptian/Norwegian origin, was born on 3 June 1984 in Oslo to an Egyptian father and a Norwegian mother from Stryn, Sogn og Fjordane. Chirag Rashmikant Patel, of Indian origin, was born on 20 July 1984 in Lørenskog. His Indian father immigrated from Uganda and Chirag grew up in Oslo. His mother originates from Anand, India. Magdi and Chirag first met in 1998 in the Oslo Handelsgymnasium, where they were both studying and making music individually. The duo was formed in 2000. Tidal (stylized TIDAL) is a Norwegian-American music streaming service, launched in 2014 by the Norwegian-Swedish public company Aspiro.
