Del Castillo is a Latin rock band based in Austin, Texas. The band's name comes from the last name of two brothers, Rick and Mark del Castillo, who founded the group. History Del Castillo began as a Latin music style project between two brothers, Rick and Mark del Castillo in the fall of 2000. The brothers, who had always played electric guitar in many different rock bands, had never played together and for the first time ever they began collaborating on songs on nylon string, acoustic guitars. So Rick and Mark decided to record some music together that their family could enjoy and culturally relate to. Their musical friend, Alex Ruiz, began adding lyrics to the brothers' instrumentals, and soon after, the other band members joined them. Del Castillo (born Lloyd Gould Castillo, April 2, 1893 – July 6, 1992), was an American cinema organist, theatre organist and composer, who provided music for radio series such as ''Stars over Hollywood'', ''Hollywood Theatre of Today'', and ''Satan's Waitin' '', as well as a number of animated short subjects, including several featuring Mr. Magoo. In addition, he served for several years as both program director and staff organist at WEEI (AM) in Boston. Early life and career Castillo was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the only child of Dr. and Mrs. Frank Martin Castillo. Mrs. Castillo, the former Minnie May Gould, was herself an accomplished pianist and graduate of the Boston Conservatory of Music, who also performed with Caroline Nichols' Fadettes of Boston. Jorge Alfonso Alejandro Del Castillo Gálvez (born 2 July 1950) is a Peruvian lawyer and politician. In his career, he has served in the now abolished Peruvian Chamber of Deputies between 1990 and 1992, in the unicameral Congress of the Republic for six non-consecutive terms, between 1995 and 2011 and again from 2016 to 2019, five of which are consecutive terms, and as Mayor of Lima and the District of Barranco during the 1980s. Mariano C. del Castillo (born July 29, 1949) is a former associate justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines. After graduating from San Beda College, Del Castillo pursued law studies at the Ateneo de Manila University.
