Deidson Araújo Maia, better known as Veloso (born 21 May 1983), is a Brazilians, Brazilian former association football, footballer who played as a Goalkeeper (association football), goalkeeper. Biography Born in Montes Claros, Minas Gerais state, Veloso started his career in São Paulo FC, São Paulo. In April 2005, he signed a 4-month contract with Mogi Mirim Esporte Clube, Mogi Mirim for 2005 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C. He worked as backup keeper for Márcio Kessler. In April 2006 he signed a 1-year extension. He also signed a 5-month deal in December 2005 and a 5-month deal in July 2005. 2005 Campeonato Brasileiro Série C
In 2005, the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C was composed of five rounds. In the first one, the 64 teams were divided in 16 groups of 4 teams each. Teams in each group played against each other in home and away games. The two best ranked teams of each group advanced to the second round, where they were paired 2-by-2 and played home and away games. The 32 teams played such rounds until there were just four teams left. The four eventual finalists were put in a single group, and played against each other in home and away games.
