''Deep Cuts'' is the second studio album by Swedish electronic music duo the Knife. It was released on 17 January 2003 by Rabid Records. The 2004 version contains three additional tracks (taken from '' Hannah med H Soundtrack'') and is packaged with a DVD containing music videos. On 31 October 2006, Mute Records issued ''Deep Cuts'' and the Knife's eponymous debut album in the United States, marking the first US release of both albums. A Perfect Circle is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1999 by guitarist Billy Howerdel and Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan. A Perfect Circle has released four studio albums, the first three during the early 2000s: ''Mer de Noms'', their debut album in 2000, and followed up by ''Thirteenth Step'' in 2003; then in 2004, '' Emotive''—an album of radically re-worked cover songs. Shortly after ''Emotive''s release, the band went on hiatus; Keenan returned to Tool and started up solo work under the band name Puscifer, while Howerdel released a solo album, ''Keep Telling Myself It's Alright'', under the moniker Ashes Divide. Yellowcard is an American rock band that formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1997 and was based in Los Angeles beginning in 2000. The band is recognized for having a distinct sound in their genre, primarily due to the prominent use of a violin in their songs, and are best known for their singles "Ocean Avenue", "Only One", and " Lights and Sounds". The band released ten studio albums, with its most recent and final one, ''Yellowcard'', released on September 30, 2016. Following this release and supporting tour, the band broke up. ''Deep Cuts'' is the 18th studio release, and 16th full-length studio album, by alternative rock band the Choir, released in 2021. This is the band’s first studio album to be recorded after the death of long-time bass guitarist Tim Chandler, who died in 2018. Background In 2019, the Choir began releasing digital singles on multiple streaming platforms at the pace of one every other month. This began with an ambient cover of Phil Collins' "In the Air Tonight," then followed by "Mystical World," the Choir’s first original composition with the remaining threesome of lead singer and guitarist Derri Daugherty, drummer and lyricist Steve Hindalong and saxophone and Lyricon player Dan Michaels. ''Deep Cut'' is a Play (theatre), play to date performed by Cardiff theatre company Sherman Cymru and written by Philip Ralph. It premiered at the Edinburgh Festival in 2008 and won the Amnesty International Freedom of Expression Award in the same year as well as best Actor (Ciaran McIntyre) and Best Actress (Rhian Blythe) awards with The Stage's Stage Awards for Acting Excellence. It concerns the death by gunshot of four trainees and the aftermath at Princess Royal Barracks, Deepcut, Deepcut Barracks in Surrey (1995–2002) and is based on firsthand testimonies. The play transferred to the Tricycle Theatre for a four-week run in 2009. The rights to the play were optioned in 2009 by Revolution Films for an unspecified period.
