Dee Dowis
Michael "Dee" Dowis (August 2, 1968 – August 29, 2016) was an American college football player who was a quarterback for the Air Force Falcons. He graduated as the NCAA's all-time leading rusher for a quarterback. Early years Dowis was born and grew up in Royston, Georgia. His father, Leonard Dowis, was the Franklin County High School football coach. He died of a heart attack when Dee was four years old. Dowis attended Franklin County High School, where he practiced multiple-sports. In football, he was a starter at quarterback in a wishbone offense and led the team to the Georgia football playoffs. He received All-state honors at shortstop in baseball. He wasn't a highly recruited athlete because of his size. College career Dowis was accepted into the United States Air Force Academy. The quarterback (QB) is a position in gridiron football who are members of the offensive side of the ball and mostly line up directly behind the Lineman (football), offensive line. In modern American football, the quarterback is usually considered the leader of the offense, and is often responsible for calling the play in the huddle. Option Offense
An option offense is an American football offensive system in which a key player (usually the quarterback) has several "options" of how each play will proceed based upon the actions of the defense. Traditionally, option-based offenses rely on Rush (gridiron football), running plays, though most mix in forward passes from an option formation as a change of pace. A successful option-based offense can keep possession of the ball for long periods of time, giving the opposing offense fewer possessions and keeping the option team's defense rested. However, because passing is often not a strength of the system, it can be difficult for option-based offenses to come back from a large deficit or to score quickly when needed. Antwaan Randle El (; born August 17, 1979) is an American professional American football, football coach and former player who currently serves as the wide receivers coach and assistant head coach for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football as a quarterback for the Indiana Hoosiers football, Indiana Hoosiers, earning first-team College Football All-America Team, All-American honors in 2001.
