Deconstruction
In philosophy, deconstruction is a loosely-defined set of approaches to understand the relationship between text and meaning. The concept of deconstruction was introduced by the philosopher Jacques Derrida, who described it as a turn away from Platonism's ideas of "true" forms and essences which are valued above appearances. Since the 1980s, these proposals of language's fluidity instead of being ideally static and discernible have inspired a range of studies in the humanities, including the disciplines of law, anthropology, historiography, linguistics, sociolinguistics, psychoanalysis, LGBT studies, and feminism. Deconstruction also inspired deconstructivism in architecture and remains important within art, music, and literary criticism. Overview Jacques Derrida's 1967 book '' Of Grammatology'' introduced the majority of ideas influential within deconstruction. Derrida published a number of other works directly relevant to the concept of deconstruction, such as '' Diff ...

Faith Deconstruction
Faith deconstruction, also known as deconstructing faith, religious deconstruction, or simply deconstruction, is a process during which religious believers reexamine and question their beliefs. It originated in American evangelicalism, where it may be called evangelical deconstruction. The term rose in popularity in connection with the exvangelical movement, which began in 2016. It is sometimes called the deconstruction movement. Subsequently, the term religious deconstruction has been applied to other religions as well. During deconstruction, people doubt their beliefs, identity, and practices. They may struggle and experience anxiety. Some eventually modify their beliefs into something more satisfactory to the believer. This results in a rejection of religion for some, and a revised or renewed faith for others. The term takes its name from Jacques Derrida's philosophical concept of deconstruction, although it has only a loose relationship to that concept. Description Deconst ...

Dimensional Deconstruction
In theoretical physics, dimensional deconstruction is a method to construct ''4''-dimensional theories that behave as higher-dimensional theories in a certain range of higher energies. The resulting theory is a gauge theory whose gauge group is a direct product of many copies of the same group; each copy may be interpreted as the gauge group located at a particular point along a new, discrete, "deconstructed" ''(d+1)''st dimension. The spectrum of matter fields is a set of bifundamental representations expressed by a quiver diagram that is analogous to lattices in lattice gauge theory. "Deconstruction" in physics was introduced by Nima Arkani-Hamed, Andy Cohen and Howard Georgi, and independently by Christopher T. Hill, Stefan Pokorski and Jing Wang. Deconstruction is a lattice approximation to the real space of extra dimensions, while maintaining the full gauge symmetries and yields the low energy effective description of the physics. This leads to a rationale for extensions o ...

Deconstructed Cuisine
Deconstructed cuisine, or deconstructivism, is a style and theory of experimental cuisine which seeks to ''deconstruct'' the cooking and preparation of food, drawing both from the scientific study of molecular gastronomy and from the culinary arts. Deconstructed recipes typically preserve the core Ingredient, ingredients and techniques of an established dish, but prepare components of a dish separately while experimenting radically with its flavor, texture, ratios, and assembly to culminate in a stark, minimalist style of presentation (cuisine), presentation, with similarly minimal portion sizes.Rosell, Meritxell"FERRAN ADRIA, sublime food deconstruction" ''Clot Magazine'', 17 May 2017. Retrieved 2 March 2024.Roncero, Paco"Deconstruction" ''Foods and Wines from Spain''. Retrieved 2 March 2024. A deconstructed salad, for example, might present its ingredients as separate portions on a single plate rather than mixed together, while a deconstructed sandwich might minimize or omit th ...

Deconstruction (building)
In the context of physical construction, deconstruction is the selective dismantlement of building components, specifically for reuse, repurposing, recycling, and waste management. It differs from demolition where a site is cleared of its building by the most expedient means. Deconstruction has also been defined as "construction in reverse". Deconstruction requires a substantially higher degree of hands-on labor than does traditional demolition, but as such provides a viable platform for unskilled or unemployed workers to receive job skills training. The process of dismantling structures is an ancient activity that has been revived by the growing fields of sustainable and green building. When buildings reach the end of their useful life, they are typically demolished and hauled to landfills. Building implosions or ‘wrecking-ball’ style demolitions are relatively inexpensive and offer a quick method of clearing sites for new structures. On the other hand, these methods cre ...

Deconstructed Club
Deconstructed club, also known as post-club or deconstructed music, is an experimental style of electronic dance music characterized by a post-modernist approach and an abrasive or dystopian tone. It stands opposed to the tropes of mainstream club styles, often dispensing with four-on-the-floor beats and stable tempo while mixing eclectic or abrasive sources. History The style was born in New York dance parties named ''GHE20G0TH1K'', which started in 2009. These parties featured voguers, punks, and fashionista, took place in warehouses across Brooklyn and Manhattan and started to radicalize the city's nightclub scene within a year. The style that defined the deconstructed club movement was directly shaped by the possibilities of CDJs, and DJ sets, in turn, have inspired producers to imitate this chaotic experimentation in their own music, creating feedback that continued to re-imagine the expectations of the dance-floor music. The MP3s used by DJs on ''GHE20G0TH1K'' had a crun ...

Deconstruction Tour
Deconstruction Tour was a one-day punk music and skate festival that was staged in various countries across Europe. It first took place in 1999 and occurred annually until 2006. The tour was arranged by Destiny Tourbooking. In general, the tour offered the opening slot of each day to a local, often unsigned band, with the following acts increasing in notability throughout the lineup. The festival also included displays by BMX riders and skaters. Aside from the first year, 2006 was possibly the least successful for the tour, due to problems with booking bands and the limited number of dates that were booked. The tour has not gone ahead since 2006. Previous lineups 1999 *NOFX *Lagwagon * Beatsteaks * H2O * 59 Times The Pain * Dogpiss 2000 *NOFX * Good Riddance *Mighty Mighty Bosstones (not all dates) * Snapcase *Terrorgruppe * Guttermouth *Mad Caddies *Less Than Jake (Some dates) * Snuff (Some dates) 2001 * Pennywise * Sick of it All *Avail * Boysetsfire * Snuff * Catch 22 * Bo ...

Deconstruction (band)
Deconstruction was an American alternative rock band formed by bassist/singer Eric Avery and guitarist Dave Navarro, both formerly of Jane's Addiction, with drummer Michael Murphy. They released their sole album in 1994. History Following the initial breakup of Jane's Addiction in 1991, Avery and Navarro formed Deconstruction as a one-time project. They had initially invited Jane's Addiction drummer Stephen Perkins to join the project, but Perkins decided to join Porno for Pyros instead. Michael Murphy was recruited for the Deconstruction project. The band released the album ''Deconstruction'' in 1994; it did not sell well and earned mixed reviews from critics. A video was produced for the track "L.A. Song". The band never toured because Avery was uninterested in doing so after the stress of his years with Jane's Addiction. In his biography, Navarro described Deconstruction as "more of an artistic experiment than anything else. We didn't have songs; some people viewed us as g ...

Dreaming Neon Black
''Dreaming Neon Black'' is the third studio album released by American heavy metal band Nevermore, and was released through Century Media in 1999. Unlike its predecessor, '' The Politics of Ecstasy'', ''Dreaming Neon Black'' contains many slower, emotional songs. ''Dreaming Neon Black'' is a concept album; according to Nevermore's lead singer, Warrel Dane, "it's a very simple story about a man who slowly goes insane after losing a woman that he was very close to. Progressive levels of insanity are expressed in the songs, he goes through phases of denial and self-blame, blaming God, then denouncing God. The ending is a little...tragic, a little depressing. Shakesperian. Everybody dies, it's all happy." The story is based on a personal experience of Dane's. One of his former girlfriends, Patricia Candace Walsh, ceased contact with him when she joined a religious group and was never heard from again, and he began having nightmares of her crying out to him as she drowned. In act ...
