Decarcerate PA
Decarcerate PA is a grassroots, all-volunteer coalition that was established to challenge mass incarceration in Pennsylvania. Background Decarcerate PA is a democratic organization which operates using a committee structure, with each committee dedicated to separate tasks. Its platform (No New Prisons, Decarceration, Community Reinvestment) has received the support of roughly one hundred other organizations. Since 2011, the coalition has been involved challenging the construction of two new prisons outside of Philadelphia in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, at the site of State Correctional Institution - Graterford. Tom Corbett
Thomas Wingett Corbett Jr. (born June 17, 1949) is an American politician, lobbyist, and former prosecutor who served as the 46th governor of Pennsylvania from 2011 to 2015. A member of the Republican Party, he was also attorney general of Pennsylvania. ACT UP
AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power (ACT UP) is an international, grassroots political group working to end the AIDS pandemic. The group works to improve the lives of people with AIDS through direct action, medical research, treatment and advocacy, and working to change legislation and public policies.
