Marčelo
Marko Šelić ( Serbian: Марко Шелић; born 22 January 1983), also known as Marčelo (Serbian: Марчело), is a Serbian rapper and singer known for his socially conscious lyrics and eclectic approach to musical arrangements through hip-hop music. A Paraćin native, he moved to Belgrade, where he has had great success over the years, and became one of the most prominent Serbian hip hop artists. He has won numerous awards, including two Serbian Oscars of Popularity, two Indexi Awards and an MTV Platinum Award. Career Rise Marčelo started making hip hop music in 1997, though his first significant contributions came out in 1999, with a demo band called Rhyme Animal. In order to pursue his solo career, Marčelo stepped out of Rhyme Animal in 2001, and started to work with Oneya, the founder of Bassivity Music and one of the leading producers on the Serbian hip hop scene. Multimedia Records (stylized as ''MULTIMEDIArecords'') is a Serbian music label based in Belgrade. History Multimedia Records was founded in February 2002 by Marko Gasperlin, Rodoljub Stojanović and Jadranka Janković-Nešić. ''Treća strana medalje'' (''Third side of medal'') is the third studio album by the Serbian hip-hop artist Marčelo. The album contains 15 songs and features various artists from Serbia and Croatia. The album was released by the end of 2008, and contains different music styles, including Pop music, pop, Rock music, rock/rock 'n' roll and blues. ''Napet Šou'' (''Tense Show'') is name of the book accompanied by homonymous fifth album by Serbian writer and hip-hop artist Marčelo. The album contains 19 tracks and it was made by a crew that counts over 50 people. Belgrade Youth Center (; abbr. DOB) is a cultural center in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, dedicated primarily to youth. History At the corner of the ''Dečanska'' and ''Makedonska'' streets, where the youth center is today, was the location of the ''kafana'' "Ginić". One of the most popular kafanas in Belgrade in its heyday, it was a gathering point of the journalists and reporters from the Politika daily, which was located nearby. The satirical magazine ' ("shaved hedgehog") was founded in the venue. Next to "Ginić" was another ''kafana'', "Prozor". The ground floor houses were demolished to make way for the much taller Youth Center building. From 2006 until 2011, the Belgrade Youth Center building underwent reconstruction.
