Marčelo
Marko Šelić (born in 1983), also known as Marčelo, is a Serbian rapper known for his socially conscious lyrics and eclectic approach to musical arrangements through hip-hop music. A Paraćin native, he moved to Belgrade, where he has had great success over the years, and became one of the most prominent Serbian hip hop artists. He has won numerous awards, including two Serbian Oscars of Popularity, two Indexi Awards and an MTV Platinum Award. Career Rise Marčelo started making hip hop music in 1997, though his first significant contributions came out in 1999, with a demo band called Rhyme Animal. In order to pursue his solo career, Marčelo stepped out of Rhyme Animal in 2001, and started to work with Oneya, the founder of Bassivity Music and one of the leading producers on the Serbian hip hop scene. Multimedia Records (stylized as ''MULTIMEDIArecords'') is a Serbian music label based in Belgrade. History Multimedia Records was founded in February 2002 by Marko Gasperlin, Rodoljub Stojanović and Jadranka Janković-Nešić. During first eight years, company was represented by Universal Music Group as their licensed partner. Multimedia Records developed a brand of Universal Music in Serbia, distributing their releases. Belgrade Youth Center ( sr, Dom omladine Beograda; abbr. DOB) is a cultural center in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, dedicated primarily to youth. History At the corner of the ''Dečanska'' and ''Makedonska'' streets, where the youth center is today, was the location of the ''kafana'' "Ginić". One of the most popular kafanas in Belgrade in its heyday, it was a gathering point of the journalists and reporters from the Politika daily, which was located nearby. The satirical magazine ' ("shaved hedgehog") was founded in the venue. Next to "Ginić" was another ''kafana'', "Prozor".
