Blois ( ; ) is a commune and the capital city of Loir-et-Cher department, in Centre-Val de Loire, France, on the banks of the lower Loire river between Orléans and Tours. Charles Deblois (27 May 1939 – 18 February 2019) was Canadian politician who was a member of the House of Commons from 1988 to 1993. Early life Deblois attended school at the Seminaire du Québec, then at Université Laval. He became a journalist, working with Radio-Canada and TVA from 1970 until 1988 when he entered federal politics. He was elected in the 1988 federal election at the Montmorency—Orléans electoral district for the Progressive Conservative party. Dean DeBlois ( ; born 7 June 1970) is a Canadian film director, film producer, screenwriter, and animator. He is best known for writing and directing the Oscar-nominated animated films ''Lilo & Stitch'' for Walt Disney Animation Studios (with Chris Sanders), the ''How to Train Your Dragon'' film trilogy for DreamWorks Animation ( the first film also with Sanders), and directing the documentary '' Heima'' about the Icelandic band Sigur Rós. George Wastie Deblois
George Wastie DeBlois (July 12, 1824 – August 14, 1886) was a businessman and political figure in Prince Edward Island. He represented 5th Queens in the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island from 1877 to 1882 as a Conservative member. He was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the son of Stephen Wastie Deblois, a merchant there. He moved to Charlottetown in 1847. Later that year, he married Sarah Frances, the daughter of Thomas Heath Haviland, Sr. DeBlois was the land agent for the Cunard family and several other large land owners on the island. In 1875, these properties were purchased by the provincial government. Joseph-François Deblois
Joseph-François Deblois (April 2, 1797 – August 10, 1860) was a lawyer, judge and political figure in Lower Canada. He was born in the town of Quebec in 1797, the son of a merchant, and studied at the Petit Séminaire de Québec. He served in the local militia during the War of 1812. After his father's death in 1814, he helped his mother to run the family store while he studied law with Louis Lagueux; Deblois was called to the bar in 1826. With his brother, he set up a herring fishery at Baie de Cascapédia in the Gaspé region. Deblois also began practicing law in the region and set up a farm there. In 1834, he was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Lower Canada for Bonaventure. A few years later, he moved his law practice to Quebec. Joseph Lucien Jean Gonzague DeBlois (born June 21, 1957) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right wing / centre. Career Born in Joliette, Quebec, DeBlois was selected in the 1977 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers in the first round, eighth overall. He was chosen over Mike Bossy by Rangers' general manager John Ferguson, Sr. because "Bossy didn't check enough for the NHL." DeBlois was a top Canadian major junior player in the mid-seventies, where he tallied excellent numbers with the Sorel Black Hawks. He also won the Michel Brière Memorial Trophy as the league MVP during his last junior season in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Pierre Antoine Deblois (October 15, 1815 – June 21, 1898) was a Quebec farmer, businessman and political figure. Anthony Thomas "Tony" DeBlois is a blind American autistic savant and musician. Early life Tony DeBlois was born on January 22, 1974. Weighing less than two pounds, he was premature and had to be supplied with large amounts of oxygen. Large amounts of oxygen cause blindness, and the physicians during this time were unaware of this. Consequently, Tony became blind at just a few days old. He began to play piano at the age of two. At first, DeBlois studied in the Texas School for the Blind in Austin, Texas, then the Perkins School for the Blind in Boston, Massachusetts, but in 1989 was awarded a summer scholarship at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.
