Debbie Russ (born 2 August 1960) is a British actress and radio presenter. She is mainly known for playing Tiger in the UK television show '' Here Come the Double Deckers'' (1970–71), and also appeared in ITC adventure shows including '' The Adventurer'' and '' The Protectors''. Russ works as a newsreader on BBC World Service radio. ''Here Come the Double Deckers!'' is a 17-part British children's television series originally broadcast in 1971 on BBC1, revolving around the adventures of seven children whose den was an old red double-decker London bus in a scrap yard. The Incorporated Television Company (ITC), or ITC Entertainment as it was referred to in the United States, was a British company involved in the production and distribution of television programmes. ''The Protectors'' is a British action thriller television series created by Gerry Anderson. It starred Robert Vaughn as Harry Rule, Nyree Dawn Porter as the Contessa Caroline di Contini, and Tony Anholt as Paul Buchet. It was Anderson's second television series to exclusively use live actors as opposed to marionettes following '' UFO'', and his second to be firmly set in contemporary times post '' The Secret Service''.
