Debbie Black
Debbie Black (born July 29, 1966) is an American women's basketball former player and current coach. During her professional career, Black played in the Women's National Basketball League in Australia, the American Basketball League and the Women's National Basketball Association. She retired from the Connecticut Sun of the WNBA in 2005. Black was an assistant coach for the Ohio State University before being named the head coach of the Eastern Illinois University Women's Basketball team on May 16, 2013, in which position she continued until 2017. Atlantic 10 Conference
The Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) is a collegiate List of NCAA conferences, athletic conference whose schools compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) NCAA Division I, Division I. The A-10's member schools are located mostly on the East Coast of the United States, East Coast and Midwestern United States, Midwest of the United States: Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York (state), New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Philadelphia Big 5
The Philadelphia Big 5, known simply as the "Big 5", is an association of six college athletic programs in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is not a conference, but rather a group of NCAA Division I basketball schools who compete for the city’s collegiate championship. The Big 5 originally consisted of Penn, La Salle, Saint Joseph's, Temple, and Villanova. At the start of the 2023–24 season, the Big 5 expanded to include Drexel. Drexel, La Salle, Penn, Saint Joseph's, and Temple are located in the city of Philadelphia, while Villanova is located in a nearby Main Line suburb of the same name. Three of the six schools (La Salle, Saint Joseph's and Villanova) are affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church, while Temple is the only public university in the group. Jim Foster (basketball)
Jim Foster (born October 16, 1948) is an American former college basketball coach. He served as the head women's basketball coach at St. Joseph's, Vanderbilt, Ohio State, and Chattanooga. He was elected to the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame as a member of the class of 2013. On February 1, 2018, Foster notched his 900th career win as a head coach, becoming the eighth fastest to reach that mark and tying for seventh in all-time career wins. He announced his retirement in May 2018, after 40 years on the bench. Early years Foster was born October 16, 1948 in Abington, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Cheltenham, Pennsylvania, and attended Cardinal Dougherty High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He joined the Army in 1966, and served until 1969, with half of that time spent in Vietnam. While he was serving, his brother, John was drafted.
