Death Row Records
Death Row Records is an American record label that was founded in 1991 by The D.O.C., Dr. Dre, Suge Knight, and Dick Griffey. The label became a sensation by releasing multi-platinum hip-hop albums by West Coast-based artists such as Dr. Dre ('' The Chronic''), Snoop Dogg ('' Doggystyle'') and 2Pac ('' All Eyez on Me'') during the 1990s. At its peak, Death Row made over US $100 million annually. By the late 1990s, the label began to decline after the death of its star artist, 2Pac, imprisonment of Suge Knight, and the departures of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. It was embroiled in controversies, lawsuits, and violence by its artists and associates, despite enjoying financial success. Death Row Records filed for bankruptcy in 2006 and was auctioned to WIDEawake Entertainment for $18 million on January 15, 2009. Lil' Bow Wow
Shad Gregory Moss (born March 9, 1987), better known by his stage name Bow Wow (formerly Lil' Bow Wow), is an American rapper and actor. His career began upon being discovered by rapper Snoop Dogg in 1993 at the age of six; five years later, he signed with record producer Jermaine Dupri's So So Def Recordings, an imprint of Columbia Records. As Lil' Bow Wow, he released his debut studio album, '' Beware of Dog'' (2000) at age 13, and his second album, '' Doggy Bag'' (2001) the following year. Joseph Paquette (May 5, 1963 – May 16, 2001), better known by his stage name Prince Ital Joe, was a Dominican reggae and ragga singer and actor best known for his collaborations with Marky Mark and Death Row Records artists. Moses Barrett III (born July 22, 1973), better known by his stage name Petey Pablo, is an American rapper and record producer from Greenville, North Carolina. He is best known for his 2003 crunk single " Freek-a-Leek," which peaked at number seven on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 and received platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Outlawz
Outlawz was an American hip-hop group founded by Tupac Shakur and Yafeu Fula in 1995. Originally known as Thoro Headz and Young Thugs, the group attracted attention with their appearance on Tupac's song "Flex", which was the B-side of his single " Holler If Ya Hear Me", released on February 4, 1993. The group formed as Dramacydal and appeared on the tracks "Me Against the World" and "Outlaw" from Shakur's album '' Me Against the World'', released on March 14, 1995. Mark Anthony Joseph Morrison (born 3 May 1974) is a British singer, best known for his 1996 platinum hit song " Return of the Mack", which was immediately met with success upon its release in several European countries. Thomas Wlodarczyk (born March 4, 1974), better known by his stage name Miilkbone, is an American rapper and songwriter. Career Miilkbone began his career by recording cassettes with Biz Markie, eventually becoming an affiliate of Naughty by Nature. He signed a record deal with Capitol Records in 1993 and released his debut album, '' Da' Miilkrate'' on June 21, 1995.
