	Deane, Greater Manchester Deane is an area of Bolton, in Greater Manchester, England. It is about south west of Bolton and northwest of Manchester. Historically a part of Lancashire, the parish of Deane was one of eleven parishes within the hundred of Salford and covered roughly half of the present Metropolitan Borough of Bolton. 	USS Deane (1778) USS ''Deane'' was a 34-gun frigate of the Continental Navy. She was renamed USS ''Hague'' in 1782, and was decommissioned in 1783. Career She was originally secretly ordered by the American Commissioners from the Nantes shipowner . Before she was finished in 1943, she was transferred to the Royal Navy under the terms of Lend-Lease, and saw service during World War II.
