''Deaf President Now!'' is a 2025 American documentary film, directed and produced by Nyle DiMarco and Davis Guggenheim. It follows the 1988 student protest at Gallaudet University, when a hearing candidate was elected over other deaf candidates. It had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival on January 28, 2025, and was released on May 16, 2025, by Apple Original Films. Nyle DiMarco (born May 8, 1989) is an American model, actor, and Deaf culture, Deaf activist. In 2015, DiMarco was the winner of The CW's reality television series ''America's Next Top Model'' in America's Next Top Model (cycle 22), season 22, becoming the second male winner and the first Deaf winner. In the following year, he and professional dance partner Peta Murgatroyd were the winners of the American Broadcasting Company, ABC televised dance competition ''Dancing with the Stars (U.S. TV series), Dancing with the Stars'' in Dancing with the Stars (U.S. season 22), season 22.
