''Dead Stock'' (stylized as ''dead stock'') is the sixth studio album by Japanese visual kei rock band SID, released on February 23, 2011, by Ki/oon Records. It was released in three editions: the regular edition and the limited editions A and B. The album's singles are "One way", "Sleep", "Rain", theme of Fullmetal Alchemist, " Cosmetic" and " Ranbu no Melody", theme of Bleach. It was supported by ''Dead Stock Tour 2011'', which had some performances postponed due to the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. Commercial performance ''Dead Stock'' reached number four on Oricon Albums Chart and remained on chart for 13 weeks. It was certified gold by RIAJ for selling more than 100,000 copies. Sid (band)
(stylized in all caps when romanized) is a Japanese visual kei rock band, formed in 2003 and signed to Ki/oon Records. Formed by Mao, Shinji, Aki and Yūya, they are known for producing anime songs, such as for ''Fullmetal Alchemist'', ''Bleach'', '' Black Butler'', and ''Magi''. Their first album, '' Renai'', was produced with Sakura (ex. L'Arc~en~Ciel). After reaching Oricon chart top 5 for the first time with " Mitsuyubi" (2007), Sid made their major label debut in 2008 with " Monochrome no Kiss" and the gold disc '' Hikari'', which includes one of their most famous songs "Uso". Mao (singer)
is a Japanese singer, known for being the lead singer of visual kei rock band SID and writer of all the lyrics. SID became popular in Japan in mid-2010 with the album ''Hikari'', which includes the anime songs " Monochrome no Kiss" and "Uso" with lyrics written by Mao. He began a solo career in 2016 using the name Mao from SID, debuting at the top 10 of Oricon charts. On July 3, 2021, he was appointed ambassador of his hometown, Kurume. Career 1995–2008: Early years and SID Mao joined his first band in high school and moved to Tokyo with the group. After creating a band called Dildo around 1995, he formed Shula in 1999. The band had three members (vocalist, guitarist and bassist) and had a pop-oriented musical style and visual kei costumes. Due to the band's lack of popularity, the members began to fall out and the group disbanded in 2003. The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. A Digital Albums Chart based on download sales was established on November 19, 2016. On December 24, 2018, Oricon introduced a Combined Albums Chart based on album-equivalent units. It counts physical sales, digital sales and streaming. Charts are published every Tuesday in Oricon Style and on Oricon's official website.
