Dead And Gone (EP)
''Dead and Gone'' is an EP by American industrial rock band Stabbing Westward, released on January 3, 2020 through Drugstore Records. It is the band's first release since 2001's ''Stabbing Westward''. Background Stabbing Westward released its self-titled fourth album on May 22, 2001. The single " So Far Away" received moderate radio play on rock stations, but the album was a commercial failure. The band would breakup in early 2002, with most of the band members pursuing other projects. After the band's split, Christopher Hall would commit full-time to The Dreaming, which he co-founded with Johnny Haro. Rumors of Stabbing Westward reuniting started to form in June 2010, but nothing came of this. Walter Flakus would reunite with Hall in November 2013, performing with The Dreaming at a show in Las Vegas. Stabbing Westward is an American industrial rock/alternative rock band. Christopher Hall (musician), Christopher Hall and Walter Flakus formed the band in 1985 in Macomb, Illinois. The band released an extended play in 1992, followed by four studio albums: ''Ungod'' (1994), ''Wither Blister Burn & Peel'' (1996), ''Darkest Days'' (1998), and ''Stabbing Westward (album), Stabbing Westward'' (2001). The band announced a dissolution in February 2002. Two compilation albums were later released in 2003. Stabbing Westward reunited in 2016 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its formation and continued to perform live shows. Orgy (band)
Orgy is an American industrial rock band formed in 1997, from Los Angeles, California. They have described their music as "death pop". The band is best known for their cover version of the New Order song " Blue Monday", and their original song " Stitches", both from their 1998 album '' Candyass''. In 2000, they released their second album, ''Vapor Transmission'', with "Fiction (Dreams in Digital)" and "Opticon" as singles. Carlton James Bost (born April 8, 1975), also known by the stage name Carlton Megalodon, is an American musician. He is the guitar player for the industrial rock band Orgy, for the rock band Deadsy, the industrial rock/hard rock band The Dreaming, and the new wave band Berlin, as well as the bass player for Stabbing Westward. Industrial Rock
Industrial rock is a fusion genre that fuses industrial music and rock music. It initially originated in the 1970s, and drew influence from early experimental and industrial acts such as Throbbing Gristle, Einstürzende Neubauten and Chrome. The Dreaming was an American rock band founded in the Hollywood area by Christopher Hall, the lead singer of the band Stabbing Westward, and Johnny Haro in 2001. Biography The Dreaming formed in mid 2001 prior the dissolution of Christopher Hall's band Stabbing Westward on February 9, 2002. Chris and Johnny Haro, who had briefly filled in on drums in Stabbing Westward in 1998, took to the studio to record demos for his new project. Enlisting the help of Bryan Carlstrom, who engineered ''Darkest Days'', the group began recording. The Dreaming completed their first round of demo songs by February 2003 and made their live debut at The Gig in Hollywood, California. The band's first extended play, ''The Dreaming'', was released in 2003.
