Daydream Anonymous
''Daydream Anonymous'' is the third studio album by InMe and was released on 10 September 2007. It is the first album to feature Greg McPherson (Dave's younger brother) on bass. Following the release the band got back out on tour starting at Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall on 15 September 2007. History On 7 December 2006, the band announced over ''MySpace'' that their new album will be called ''Daydream Anonymous''. They also placed four demos on their ''MySpace'' page: "Myths and Photographs", "I Won't Let Go", "Soldier" and "Raindrops on Stones", all recorded using Dave McPherson's Mac. The album debuted at number 72 on the UK Albums chart, and reached number 2 on the UK Rock Albums chart. Track listing Between the first release of a track list and the release of the album itself, a few track names were changed. InMe
InMe are an English alternative rock/metal band originally formed in Brentwood, Essex in 1996. They have released seven studio albums, two EPs, one bootleg album, one best-of compilation, one live album, one live EP and an acoustic album. A DVD of the band's '' Overgrown Eden'' show at the Highbury Garage in November 2010 was released via PledgeMusic as a part of the band's campaign for their fifth album ''The Pride''. The band has had eight singles appear on the UK Top 100 Singles Chart. The band are open about the fact that they all have day jobs, and ask fans to support them financially. History Formation (1996–2000) The group originally formed as Drowned in 1996 when many of the band were just 14 years old. Alternative Rock
Alternative rock (also known as alternative music, alt-rock or simply alternative) is a category of rock music that evolved from the independent music underground of the 1970s. Alternative rock acts achieved mainstream success in the 1990s with the likes of the grunge subgenre in the United States, and the Britpop and shoegaze subgenres in the United Kingdom and Ireland. During this period, many record labels were looking for "alternatives", as many Arena rock, corporate rock, hard rock, and glam metal acts from the 1980s were beginning to grow stale throughout the music industry. The emergence of Generation X as a Culture, cultural force in the 1990s also contributed greatly to the rise of alternative music. Alternative Metal
Alternative metal (also known as alt-metal) is a genre of heavy metal music that combines heavy metal with influences from alternative rock and other genres not normally associated with metal. Alternative metal bands are often characterized by heavily Downtuned guitar, downtuned, mid-paced guitar riffs, a mixture of accessible melodic vocals and Screaming (music), harsh vocals and sometimes sounds that are unconventional within other heavy metal styles. The term has been in use since the 1980s, although it came into prominence in the 1990s. Other genres considered part of the alternative metal movement included rap metal and funk metal, both of which influenced another prominent subgenre, nu metal. Nu metal expands the alternative metal sound, combining its vocal stylings and downtuned riffs with elements of other genres, such as hip hop music, hip hop, funk, thrash metal, hardcore punk and industrial metal.
