Dayan Enrique Díaz (born February 10, 1989) is a Colombian former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Cincinnati Reds and Houston Astros. Dayan Jayatilleka (; born 1956) is a leftist Sri Lankan academic, diplomat, writer and politician. Early life and family Jayatilleka was born in 1956. He is the son of Mervyn de Silva and Lakshmi Sylvia Fernando. He was named after the Israeli general Moshe Dayan. Jayatilleka was educated at St. Joseph's College, Colombo. After school he studied at Aquinas University College, Colombo before joining the University of Sri Lanka Peradeniya campus, graduating from its successor, the University of Peradeniya, with a first class honours B.A. degree in political science. He was Fulbright Scholar at the Binghamton University between 1982 and 1983, studying for a doctorate in political sociology. Dayan Khan (; ), born Batumöngke ( , ; ''Bātúméngkè''; 1472–1517) was a khagan of the Northern Yuan dynasty, reigning from 1480 to 1517. During his rule, he reunited the Mongols under Chinggisid supremacy. His reigning title, "Dayan", means "the whole" or "long lasting" in Mongolian language as he was the longest reigning khagan of the unified Mongols. Dayan Khan eliminated Oirat power and abolished the taishi system used by both local and foreign warlords. Dayan Khan's victory at Dalan Tergin reunified the Mongols and solidified their identity as Chinggisid people. Dayan Khan (Khoshut)
Dayan Khan (, died 22 April 1668) was the second khan of the Khoshut Khanate and protector-king of Tibet, ruling from 1655 to 1668. He sat on the throne during the time of the 5th Dalai Lama, Ngawang Lobsang Gyatso, but did not have a major independent role in Tibetan politics. Khoshut patronage Dayan Khan was the son of Güshi Khan of the Khoshut tribe who allied with the Gelug faction (the Yellow Church) in Tibet and was victorious in 1642. Güshi had offered the earth, tribes and people of the three ''cholka'' of Tibet to the Gelug leader, the 5th Dalai Lama. The Dalai Lama, in return, named him Dharma king, Protector of the Faith. Dayán Viciedo Pérez (born March 10, 1989) is a Cuban professional baseball infielder for the Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos of the Mexican League.
