Davit Niniashvili
Davit Niniashvili (born 14 July 2002) is a Georgian rugby union player. He plays as a winger for Lyon OU; in the Top 14, in France. Niniashvili also plays full-back for the Georgian National Team He participated in the 2019 European Under-18 Rugby Union Championship organised in Kaliningrad. He started in the final, which was won by Georgia. Although only evolving in the regional league, being 18 years old and having no high-level experience, he was selected by Levan Maisashvili to participate in the Autumn Nations Cup. His coach presents him as "a promising player with good skills". He wants to "increase the depth t the rear post. Davit Niniashvili was named in the starting line-up for the first time at 2020 Rugby Europe Championship against Russia. 2023 Rugby World Cup
The 2023 Rugby World Cup is scheduled to be the tenth men's Rugby World Cup, the quadrennial world championship for men's rugby union teams. It is scheduled to take place in France from 8 September to 28 October 2023 in nine venues across the country. The opening match and final will take place at the Stade de France, in the commune of Saint-Denis, north of Paris. The tournament will take place in the bicentenary year of the "invention" of the sport by William Webb Ellis. Originally, the tournament was scheduled to last the typical six weeks; however, on 23 February 2021, World Rugby announced an additional week to accommodate the additional rest day requirement for player welfare. 2021–22 EPCR Challenge Cup
The 2021–22 EPCR Challenge Cup was the eighth edition of the EPCR Challenge Cup, an annual second-tier rugby union competition for professional clubs. Including the predecessor competition, the original European Challenge Cup, this was the 26th edition of European club rugby's second-tier competition. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the tournament format was changed for the previous season. A similar format remained for this season, however, the number of teams was increased from 14 to 15 and an additional six will join from the Champions Cup. The tournament commenced in December 2021, and concluded with the final on 27 May 2022 at Stade Vélodrome in Marseille, France. Lyon, who are in their first European final, won the Challenge Cup by defeating Toulon making it their first European title.
