Davit Gotsiridze
Davit Gotsiridze ( ka, დავით გოცირიძე; born 6 September 2004) is a Georgian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Erovnuli Liga club Gagra, on loan from Dinamo Tbilisi. He has won the Erovnuli Liga and Supercup and represented his country in the national youth teams. Club career Gotsiridze passed through a selection process at Dinamo Tbilisi academy at the age of 7 in May 2012 and initially joined it as a goalkeeper. Later, he changed position to become a striker while being at Saburtalo. Gotsiridze made a debut for the reserve team in the 2nd division in a 3–1 win over Locomotive on 5 March 2023 and opened his goal-scoring account twelve days later against WIT Georgia. Overall, during the two seasons for Dinamo's reserves Gotsiridze scored ten times in 44 league appearances. Ramaz Shengelia ( ka, რამაზ შენგელია; 1 January 1957 – 21 June 2012) was a Georgian and Soviet footballer who played as a striker. Club career Born in Kutaisi, Shengelia started career in his hometown club Torpedo Kutaisi in 1968. He spent four seasons for the club, scoring 29 goals in 75 games in the Soviet First League. Shengelia became the top scorer of the club twice. After the successful spell in the second strongest team in Georgian SSR, he was invited to Dinamo Tbilisi in 1977. The head coach of the Tbilisi-based club, Nodar Akhalkatsi arrived to Kutaisi in order to monitor the performance of Shengelia and his other teammate Tamaz Kostava. Revaz Gotsiridze ( ka, რევაზ გოცირიძე; born 17 January 1981) is a Georgian football manager and a former player, currently in charge of Erovnuli Liga 2 club Gonio. Club career Gotsiridze started playing football at the age of 10 at ''Norchi Dinamo''. Later he joined the reserve team of Dinamo Tbilisi under Vakhtang Kopaleishvili before signing for WIT Georgia. Gotsiridze left Georgia for Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih in April 2003. But in end of season he was sent back to WIT Georgia. At WIT Georgia, he became team top-scorer and scored in champions playoffs to win Umaglesi Liga in 2004. The 2023 Erovnuli Liga 2 season was the seventh edition under its current title and the 35th edition of second tier football in Georgia. The four-part competition began on 28 February and ended on 2 December with playoffs completed on 10 December. Each team played 36 matches in this season. The winner gained automatic promotion to the Erovnuli Liga, while the next two teams participate in play-offs against their top flight rivals. The bottom two entered a play-off contest against 3rd and 4th teams of Liga 3 at the end of the season. Two-legged ties were played at each side's home ground. The 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification was a men's under-21 national football team competition that determined the 15 teams that joined the automatically qualified hosts Slovakia in the 2025 UEFA European Under-21 Championship final tournament.
