David Stypka
David Stypka (21 July 1979 – 10 January 2021) was a Czech singer known for his performances in the band David Stypka and Bandjeez. Biography Stypka came from Dobrá near Frýdek-Místek. After graduating from a grammar school in Frýdek, he was a journalist in the regional press, and also briefly worked at a candle shop and was a salesman at local festivals. After years of journalistic work, he became a graphic artist and typesetter. He had long collaborated with the magazine (single-parentship). He was single, with three children. In the summer of 2019, Stypka was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Frýdek-Místek (, ; ) is a city in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 54,000 inhabitants. Jazz guitarists are guitarists who play jazz using an approach to chords, melodies, and improvised solo lines that is called jazz guitar playing. The guitar has fulfilled the roles of accompanist (rhythm guitar) and soloist in small and large ensembles and also as an unaccompanied solo instrument. Until the 1930s, jazz bands used banjo because the banjo's metallic twang was easier to hear than the acoustic guitar when competing with trumpets, trombones, and drums. The banjo could be heard more easily, too, on wax cylinders in the early days of audio recording. The invention of the archtop increased the guitar's volume. In the hands of Eddie Lang it became a solo instrument for the first time.
