David Soria
David Soria Solís (born 4 April 1993) is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for La Liga club Getafe. Club career Early career Born in Madrid, Soria finished his youth career with Real Madrid. Following his release, he moved to England and trialled at Leicester City, who let him go after an injury on his first day; he was then discarded by Birmingham City after six weeks because of their salary cap, and ended his trial at Stoke City due to feeling discouraged. On his return to Spain, Soria failed to gain a contract at Real Betis B because of a change of coach, and was not considered experienced enough for Abelardo Fernández's Sporting de Gijón in the Segunda División. He subsequently trained at CD Canillas to maintain his fitness, but did not make his debut for the club; at the time, he also thought about retiring from football. Mariano Damián Barbosa (born 27 July 1984) is an Argentine former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Born in Lanús, Buenos Aires, Barbosa started his career with Club Atlético Banfield in 2002. In June 2005, he was signed by Spanish club Villarreal CF for a fee of €2 million alongside another player in his position, Sebastián Viera. Barbosa served mainly as reserve at Villarreal, but filled in for Viera in several games, most notably in the semi-finals of the 2005–06 UEFA Champions League against Arsenal. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time. Segunda División B (English: second division B) was the third tier of the Spanish football league system containing 102 teams divided into five groups, until it was replaced by the new structure in 2021. It was administered by the Royal Spanish Football Federation.
