David Ridley
David Anthony Ridley (born 5 May 1954) is a former English cricketer. Ridley was a right-handed Batsman (cricket), batsman who played primarily as a wicketkeeper. Ridley made his debut for Dorset County Cricket Club, Dorset in the 1979 Minor Counties Championship against Somerset County Cricket Club, Somerset II. He represented Dorset in 34 Minor Counties Championship matches and 12 Minor Counties Trophy matches from 1979 to 1989, with his final Minor Counties match for Dorset coming against Wales Minor Counties Cricket Club, Wales Minor Counties. Ridley trialled at Worcestershire County Cricket Club and played for the 2XI as a batsman/ wicketkeeper. In 1983, he made his List-A cricket, List-A debut for Dorset against Essex County Cricket Club, Essex in the 1st round of the 1983 NatWest Trophy. Stourbridge is a market town in the Metropolitan Borough of Dudley in the West Midlands, England, situated on the River Stour. Wales Minor Counties Cricket Club
Wales National County Cricket Club is one of twenty National county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents all of the historic counties of Wales except Glamorgan and is currently the only non-English member of the National Counties Cricket Championship. Kent County Cricket Club is one of the eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Kent. NatWest Trophy
The Friends Provident Trophy was a one-day cricket competition in the United Kingdom. It was one of the four tournaments in which the eighteen first-class counties competed each season. They were joined by teams from Scotland and Ireland. Lancashire won the title a record seven times. The competition has previously been known as the C&G Trophy (2000–2006), the NatWest Trophy (1981–2000) and the Gillette Cup (1963–1980). Essex County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Essex. Worcestershire
Worcestershire ( , ; written abbreviation: Worcs) is a county in the West Midlands of England. The area that is now Worcestershire was absorbed into the unified Kingdom of England in 927, at which time it was constituted as a county (see History of Worcestershire).
