European Youth Olympic Winter Festival
The European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) is a biennial multi-sport event for youth (14 to 18 years old) athletes from the 50 member countries of the association of European Olympic Committees. The festival has a summer edition, held for the first time in Brussels in 1991, and a winter edition, which began two years later in Aosta. Scott Andrews (curler)
Scott Andrews (born 14 June 1989 in Prestwick) is a Scottish curler from Symington. Curling career Andrews had a fairly successful junior career. At the 2008 World Junior Curling Championships, playing second for Glen Muirhead, Scotland finished in 9th place, forcing the team to play in a challenge event to qualify Scotland for the 2009 World Juniors. While the Muirhead rink won the event, they as a team did not qualify out of Scotland to represent the country. Andrews did make it back to the Juniors in 2010, however, playing second for Ally Fraser. They won a silver medal, losing to Switzerland's Peter de Cruz in the final. After Juniors, Andrews joined up with Brewster's Aberdeen rink. The team won its first Scottish championship in 2011, qualifying them for the 2011 Ford World Men's Curling Championship. Billy Morton (curler)
William O'Brien (1850 – unknown), better known as Billy Porter but also known by the alias William or Billy Morton, was an American burglar and underworld figure in New York City during the mid-to late 19th century. He and partner Johnny Irving were longtime members of the Dutch Mob along with Little Freddie and Michael "Sheeny Mike" Kurtz. He was present during the 1883 gunfight at Shang Draper's saloon in which Irving was shot and killed by rival John "Johnny the Mick" Walsh. O'Brien then killed Walsh and was himself gunned down by Shang Draper. Although surviving his wounds, he was tried for, and acquitted of, Walsh's death. Like many of the Dutch Mob, O'Brien was also associated with the infamous bank robber George Leonidas Leslie and his gang. Grant Hardie (born 27 March 1992) is a Scottish curler from Glasgow.British Curling profile He currently plays third for the Bruce Mouat rink. He is the nephew of 1999 world champion Hammy McMillan. Career University While attending the University of Strathclyde (where he took civil engineering), Hardie played third for the British team at the 2015 Winter Universiade, which was skipped by Kyle Smith. Ewan MacDonald (born 17 November 1975 in Inverness, Scotland) is a Scottish curler. Representing Scotland, he is a three-time World Champion, playing second for Hammy McMillan in 1999 and playing third for David Murdoch in 2006 and 2009. He has also represented Great Britain at three Winter Olympics, in Salt Lake City 2002, Torino 2006 and Vancouver 2010.
