David McEwan (producer)
David McEwan (born 1972) is an Australian sound designer, record producer, engineer, composer, and a member of the band The Safires. He is the co-owner of The Sanctuary Recording Studio in London and is best known for his work on the award-winning Plan B album The Defamation of Strickland Banks. He has also had long time production connections with musician Nitin Sawhney. David McEwan is also the son of the Australian actor Colin McEwan. McEwan is part of the Blanknote writing and production team. Colin McEwan (1941 – 21 August 2005) was an Australian actor, host, comedian and radio announcer. Untouchability is a form of social institution that legitimises and enforces practices that are discriminatory, humiliating, exclusionary and exploitative against people belonging to certain social groups. ''Beyond Skin'' is an album by English musician Nitin Sawhney. It was released on the Outcaste label in 1999. The album focuses largely on the theme of nuclear weapons; Sawhney states in the booklet that the album "has a timespan that runs backwards", beginning at "Broken Skin" with the India-Pakistan nuclear situation and ending at "Beyond Skin" with Robert Oppenheimer quoting the Bhagavad Gita — "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds". Sawhney also aims to question what constitutes one's identity — he writes in the liner notes for the album: "I believe in Hindu philosophy. I am not religious. I am a pacifist. I am a British Asian. "She Said" is the second single from British musician Plan B (musician), Plan B's second album ''The Defamation of Strickland Banks'' — a concept album whose songs tell the fictitious tale of a sharp-suited British soul singer who finds fame with bitter-sweet love songs, but then loses everything when he ends up in prison for a crime he didn't commit. The single was released as a music download, digital download and on CD single on 24 February 2010. "She Said" was the sixteenth best selling British single of 2010. The Sundays were an English alternative rock band, formed in Bristol. The band's lineup consisted of lead vocalist Harriet Wheeler, guitarist David Gavurin, bassist Paul Brindley, and drummer Patrick Hannan. Percussionist Lindsay Jamieson was a member from 1990 until 1992, and played on the band's first two albums.
