David Lee (politician)
David Lee Ta-wei (; born 15 October 1949) is a Taiwanese politician and diplomat who is the Secretary-General to the President since 3 August 2020. He formerly served as the chairman of the Straits Exchange Foundation in 2020, the Secretary-General of the National Security Council of the Republic of China in 2018-2020 and the Minister of Foreign Affairs from 20 May 2016 to 26 February 2018. Lin Chuan
Lin Chuan (; born 13 December 1951) is a Taiwanese economist and politician who served as Premier of the Republic of China (Taiwan) from 2016 to 2017 under President Tsai Ing-wen. He served as Minister of Budget, Accounting and Statistics and Minister of Finance during Chen Shui-bian's presidency. Early life and education Lin is of Mainland Chinese descent, and was born in Kaohsiung on 13 December 1951. He graduated from Fu Jen Catholic University with a bachelor's degree in economics in 1974, before earning a master's in public finance from National Chengchi University in 1978. Lin returned to the study of economics in the United States, obtaining his doctorate in the subject at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign in 1984. Chen Chien-jen (born 1939)
Chen Chien-jen (; born 11 August 1939) is a Taiwanese diplomat. Political career Chen served in the Legislative Yuan for one term from 1993 to 1996. He was then named the minister of the Government Information Office in 1998. The next year, he was appointed to lead the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Chen planned to retire after stepping down at the end of President Lee Teng-hui's final term in 2000. However, Lee's successor Chen Shui-bian asked Chen Chien-jen to reconsider. Chen eventually chose to accept the post of representative to the United States. He postponed retirement again in 2004 to become the representative to the European Union and Belgium. William Lin or William Line was a 17th-century Presbyterian lawyer (called a writer) from Scotland. Phillimore calls him a Writer to the Signet which would make him a senior lawyer.
